Terrible Twos

Remember when Reese was a tiny puppy?

The day Griffin told me he was getting a lab I was a little worried because until Reese, I was not a dog person.  I very quickly grew to love this little pup! When she wasn't chewing & ruining one of 15 pairs of shoes, digging holes, or shedding, she was the cutest pup in the world.

As all cute little puppies do, Reese grew up.  Today is her TWO year old birthday.

Griffin shared hisbirthday cake & yes put the 2 on backwards :)

After Griffin played with Reese, I took her on a run & then her buddy Scout came over for a walk.

Is it safe to give dogs real cake?

Hard day of chasing red balls & eating bones

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE!
May this next year be filled with more tricks, treats, & dove hunts!

Love you puppy girl,
Amy & Griff

Happy 25th Husband!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY TO GRIFFIN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

We had a great time celebrating our first birthday being married.  Most of Griffin's friends were busy, out of town, or couldn't come in town so we decided to do a simple birthday.  I am having to learn that although I am the type of person that loves birthday "parties", Griffin is completely happy with a relaxing day.

Saturday night we went on a little dinner & movie date.  We saw True Grit which was surprisingly REALLY good!  Today Griffin had what he would consider a perfect day.  He got to sleep in, have a homemade breakfast casserole, subway for lunch, played Call of Duty, watched A LOT of football, FUNFETTI cake & just ate a delicious dinner courtesy of Steak Express.  Jameson was here for most of the day which gave him someone to talk about hunting & fishing with in between all of the eating, football, & PS3.

My parents sent Griffin a package with these great treats.  They made great snacks for our lazy day!

I love you Griffin & pray God blesses us with many, many more birthdays together!!

PS. Our nephew Holt crawled for the first time today!  We love you & are proud of you sweet boy!:)

TGIF!

PHEW!  This has been one crazy, long week & it was only 4 work days for me.  This week at school I played teacher, tutor, mom, nurse, & counselor.  I love my sweet babies, but some weeks playing each of those roles can be exhausting. TGIF!

Tonight I went to dinner with 3 girlfriends which was so fun! I felt a tiny bit bad leaving Griffin at home since it's his BIRTHDAY weekend, but I am confident he was more than content with the tv, Internet, & PlayStation.  He is always sweet to say, "Go, you need girl time!" Thank you God for a husband that lets me do what I want. :)

Griffin has to work tomorrow, but lucky for him I was given two FREE spicy chicken biscuit coupons at school.  Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuits are my all time favorite so I am going to be a good wife & take one to him at work & get myself a non-spicy breakfast treat as well.

Griff's 25th birthday isn't really until Sunday, but I have no shame in helping him celebrate all weekend, especially when yummy food is involved!

Have a happy weekend,
Amy

Just Do It!

I am so thankful Griffin & I are both blessed with jobs we enjoy going to every, almost every day.  I am even MORE thankful for days like yesterday when I had the day off.  Griffin unfortunately didn't have the day off, so while out shopping for him a birthday gift,  I picked up an extra healthy hot & ready & took it to him for lunch.

While there, Griffin bought me these new, love at first sight Nike shoes!
Working out becomes so much better when you have new kicks on your feet!  Thanks Griffin! :)

Speaking of working out, my post-wedding workouts have pretty much been non-existent, UNTIL Griff & I decided to buy a PS3 & found this little gem.
I have a nine week plan set up & each day has a 30-45min workout.  The workouts consist of constant circuits of mountain biking, basketball drills, soccer drills, running, & strength exercises which are done with 3 different work out bands. (included with the game)
Prior to starting the workout, you put a band on each arm & one on your leg which tracks your heart rate & calories burned.  I recommend this "game" if you own a PS3 & are in a work out rut! :)

Peace, Love, & Nike,
Amy

Blog Creep

It's true, I have slowly turned from a facebook creeper to a blog creeper.  When planning the wedding, I would look through wedding blogs to get decoration ideas which lead me to the crafty/stylish side of the blogger world. I LOVE seeing all the amazing things people make & outfits they wear & attempting to be their #1 copycat.    I am not a creative or crafty person at all, but I am becoming a huge copycat of others fantastic crafts & style.

Exhibit # 1:  I have been searching for an earring holder but haven't fallen in love with one in my price range. I got this idea from kojodesigns. After a little paint, an old frame, a trip to Lowes, & a little help from the husband, PRESTO-a $7 earring holder!

Exhibit #2: FREE printables.  Who knew?  You better believe I have been printing these little suckers for Christmas gifts, school projects, & seasonal frames for the house.

Exhibit #3- Cupcake Valentine WREATH.  This fabulous little craft only cost $6.  I got the foam ring from the dollar store & the ribbon & cupcake sleaves at hobby lobby at 30% off.  I plan on making one for a bridal shower & possible birthday party!

All this to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of the creative people for sharing your ideas!
