Baby love

Our good friends Mark & Kim had their sweet baby girl Sunday afternoon.  Paisley Anne arrived at 8lb 5oz with a full head of black hair!  Griffin & I went to the hospital to meet the baby girl & spent this afternoon loving on her at their house.  We are so excited & happy for the both of you!

FATHER'S DAY!!

I love having Summers off because I get to go home & celebrate Father's Day with my Dad every year.  Saturday I spent the afternoon with my mom & dad at the lake.  This has become one of my new favorite things to do with my Dad & I love that he & Griffin have a love for being outdoors in common with each other.

Today, we went to church & all of the kids & my MeMaw came to my parents for lunch & gift giving.  My Dad loves when we are all together so this made the day special for him. Emily & I came up with the idea to make a goodie basket with all of my Dad's favorite things.  Of course we are at the top of his favorite!

Thank you Dad for always taking care of, supporting, encouraging, &  loving each of us unconditionally.  You have been such a great example of a Godly husband and father.  I will ALWAYS love spending time with my Dad & am excited for the day when he gets to become a grandpa to our kids.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!!

ahhhh Summer

When Christmas rolled around I was extremely jealous when most teacher's were out buying gifts, hanging with family, & enjoying Christmas festivities while I was still teaching entertaining my students.  ALL of that jealousy disapeared when I got out for the summer May 27! ahhhh Summer time has finally arrived....

Memorial Day weekend Griff & I headed to Dallas to hang out with his family & go to a Rangers game.  The Rangers kicked some tail with a 10-1 win!  We went to a pool party with his sister's small group from church on Sunday.  It was a great kick off to Summer.

We took Reese to the disgusting Ft. Fantom Lake to play on Memorial Day.  Although, I wouldn't step foot in that mud pit, she loved chasing balls & sticks.
This weekend I decided to be ambitious & make my first pound cake.  It turned out super yummy, especially with fresh strawberries on top.  Paula Deen knows how to come up with some delicious, healthy deserts!  Pound cake
I went to a wedding shower for my friend Terry Lee yesterday.  I came accross this cute printable & decided to paint a frame to match her new home & include the picture.  I really liked the way it turned out & came really close to keeping it for myself!

My goal is to keep this blog updated this summer...we will see how that goes.....
